Cinnamon Apple Pie in a Glass (or Herbal Fireball)
2 oz whiskey (the smoother, the better!)
4 oz apple cider (sparkling if you like) OR 2 oz apple cider plus 2 oz sparkling water
1/2-1 oz cinnamon simple syrup
Splash of herbal digestive bitters
¼ cup of water
2 cinnamon sticks. (Save one to garnish if serving hot toddy)
1/8 cup honey (or ¼ cup sugar)
Garnish – 2 slices of Lemon –1 Cinnamon Stick
Add ingredients to a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 5-10 minutes to reduce it and let the cinnamon stick infuse into the liquid. Strain.
Fireball Hot Toddy:
Pre-fill a footed mug or a cup with hot water to preheat it, then empty.
Pour the piping hot Cinnamon Apple Pie into a warmed mug.
Garnish with a cinnamon stick.
Fill the shaker with ice, add, and seal.
Shake for 15 seconds.
Pour into a pre-chilled glass.
Garnish with a slice of lemon round and cinnamon stick.
