Purslane is a new “super ingredient” for aging skin to our new Vitamin C+ that will maximize Vitamin C’s efficacy and bring a wealth of vital nutrients and minerals to address aging skin seriously. This beautiful succulent plant is a hidden gem in anti-aging skincare and shows a range of biological activity, including antioxidant protection, wound healing, and anti-inflammatory properties. This is a powerhouse plant whose leaves and stems contain significant amounts of amino acids, Vitamins A, C, and B, and carotenoids. Minerals: magnesium, calcium, and Purslane contain potent antioxidants that stimulate collagen and cell repair, which results in diminishing the appearance of wrinkles and even scarring., and iron. Purslane is rich in glutathione and glutathione reductase and has demonstrated an ability to improve vitamin C stability.
This form of vitamin C we use is superior to other forms of vitamin C traditionally used in anti-aging products in a number of ways, not the least of which is it does not have the acidic “bite” associated with traditional vitamin C serums that can cause redness and irritation to the skin. I love this product. My skin looks firmer when I use it and I think it’s brighter too. I’m almost through my first bottle. A little goes a long way. It doesn’t cause me to breakout at all and no irritation. The smell is amazing and though I can be sensitive to fragrance, I’ve never had a problem with any of the Sunshine Botanical products. Thanks!
